Real rain smex for Miss Diz
If I was going to do something silly I thought it wouldn't hurt to properly try to work through the prompt at least once.
Title: Fighting in the Rain Pairing: Snape/Remus
"Don't look at me like that."
"Like what?"
"As if this world will simply cease because I've said something wrong again."
Remus sighed and shook his head. "It won't be ending. Forget it."
"No, dammit. I'm tired of you simply rolling over," Severus said, taking hold of Remus's wrist before he could begin to walk away from him. "You'll be miserable for days and you're terrible company when you're miserable."
"Yes, well forgive me the heart that I still have," Remus said with a frown.
"You do this on purpose to irritate me," Severus said.
"Because everything in life is about you."
Severus's frown deepened and he stared at Remus for a moment. "Come with me," he demanded before suddenly pulling Remus out into the rain.
"What are you doing? Severus, it's pouring!" Remus asked. He didn't stop him despite them being soaked to the skin in moments.
Severus pulled them to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and turned to face Remus once more. "I'll say this only once, under the heavens, it's you and no one else. We'll never be able to go through a day without a disagreement or problems, but I don't care. I can accept your faults if you can accept mine. I will never be the perfect mate for anyone, not even you."
"Who said I even wanted perfection? I just want you," Remus said.
"I need that," Severus assured him. "If you can just stop taking offense to everything that I say."
"You can't expect me to simply accept everything that you say," Remus said. "You're insulting and unfortuantely I can't just brush it off every time."
"Talking with you is getting us no where. I love you, you stupid wolf, and I'll show you if I have to," Severus said.
Before Remus could attempt a response, Severus pinned him to the nearest tree and kissed him hard. Remus brought his hands to Severus's hair, sifting through the dark strands. The kisses bled into one another and they rocked their hips in a frenzied pace. Remus slumped against the tree and Severus turned his attention to the meeting point of neck and shoulders, worrying the skin with his teeth.
"Gods...Severus...I need this..."
"I know..."
Sometimes it was easier for them to express themselves without the restraint of limiting words. They could let their passion explain the things they could not express. The warm slide of skin against skin was a warm balm against the harsh words that came out wrong. A tongue would lap at the tears that they would not admit to shedding. A kiss could ease even the deepest pain in them.
They reached their climax against the tree with the rain washing away all of the traces of their arguement. They held one another for several long moments as they calmed their breath, looking into one another's eyes.
"I expect you to nurse me back to health when I become sick," Severus said.
