Random Dribblets - Snape/Remus & Snape/Sirius/Remus
First Posted: 06-15-2007
Title: That's All Right
Author: Rain
Pairing: Snape/Black/Lupin
Word Count: 420 (O.o it's not about drugs!)
Author's Note: I've been trying to get out some of the bug that's striking me. I'm attempting to work on a larger project so I'm just writting little no beta dribblets. Have fun with them.
He hates to look as if he's at all interested. It's a matter of pride for him. You'd think that he would need to saw off his arm if he showed the small sign that he no longer hates him. Sirius unfortunately has this way of weaseling in on anyone's defenses without trying. At first it was to set him off and send him into fits of rage, but more recently Sirius has begun to bring out a more soft side of Severus. I can't help but smile when it happens.
Sirius is a very touchy feely kind of person. At the moment he was sprawled across Severus's lap, much to his obvious annoyance. Sirius looked comfortable with his head in Severus's lap, holding him loosely around the waist. From the sound of light snores, I would assume that he had just fallen asleep. Severus let out a sigh and put aside his book. He mustn't have known that I was there, since he allowed himself a brief moment of affection.
He lightly ran his fingers through Sirius's hair, a small smile forming on his lips. Severus liked that Sirius was dependant on him in this way. It satisfied him to have that small amount of hold over him. Severus enjoyed anything that could give him a sense of power. I blame that on years of being subservient rather than in control of his own destiny.
I came up behind him, draping my arms around his neck. He tensed immediately, but I pressed a kiss to his throat in hopes of calming him.
"It would make him happy to know that you don't just tolerate him," I said.
Severus snorted. He could never take a suggestion well.
"All you have to do is let him know that you don't dislike it when he chooses to sit with you. I can tell that you like it that he wants your attention and affection," I said.
Severus sighed. "He is far too unstable to understand-"
"Don't you dare talk about him like that," I snapped. "He is more than capable of knowing what his heart tells him. You are just being bloody stubborn!"
Severus frowned. Thankfully Severus knew when he was fighting a losing battle. What would be the point? He resumed his petting of our sleeping lover. "I do not...dislike his attention," Severus said finally.
"You love him," I said with a smirk. "That's all right. Love can still make you powerful, Severus, as easily as it can make you weak."
Title: Here With Me
Author: Rain
Pairing: Snape/Lupin
Word Count: 442
Author's Note: I don't know how effective I was with protraying the movement of time here. Who knows. Again, no beta.
Oh I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me
He stumbled into the house. His clothing was a sodden mess, stuck to his skin. He weakly tried to pull it off, but he was just too tired. The only thing that his mind could comprehend was that the house was empty and he was so tired. It had been one mission after another for weeks on end and he was reaching the end of his rope.
The bed was just a few doors down and he managed to toss himself onto it. It felt wonderful to have the cotton sheets against his face. He could get up in a moment and try to take his clothes off again. He would rest for only a moment.
It was cold in the flat. He shivered and struggled to open his eyes. Was it like this a moment ago? He must have simply been too tired to notice.
Why was the house so quiet? Wasn't Severus due to be home? Why wasn't he here?
Perhaps he should think about that later. He was too tired to try to find him now.
It had been hard to converse with as many creatures as possible when he could not always transport himself to and from with simple apparations or portkeys. He had been traveling through the woods and all over in order to get to giants, trolls, werewolves, even a vampire clan. There wasn't much success, not that he had believed there would be. Now that Albus was dead, they were even more leery of trusting us. Albus must have been some sort of good luck charm.
His body hurt. That was rather sudden, wasn't it? Or maybe it wasn't. How much time had past? The room wasn't this bright a moment ago was it. Had he fallen asleep?
Remus let out a groan and tried to push himself up from the bed, but his arms couldn't hold his weight.
"Don't you dare move, you bloody fool."
Ah, there was Severus.
"You're going to get yourself killed one of these days. What would have happened if I hadn't come home? If I had been detained for even a few hours longer this could have been much worse then a terrible bout of the flu," Severus snapped.
"Oh..." Remus said. It was all he had the strength to say.
"Oh? Is that all you can say for yourself?" Snape barked.
He continued with his tirade, but Remus didn't mind. Severus's cool hands were against his forehead for a moment before he collected more potions for him. Remus couldn't remember taking them, but he must have since Severus was silent and curled up against him. This was perfect.
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
